HEY!

I'M DESERAE...

I am a passionate photographer based in South Carolina, specializing in lifestyle photography for laid-back families and couples looking for a non-traditional session experience.

I am so glad that you stopped by to learn more about me and my work! Photography is my absolute passion and it gives me such happiness, especially to see and hear my clients/friends just as happy when they receive their sneak peek and gallery!

I LOVE to shoot during golden hour (about an hour before sunset) on a pretty, sunny day. There's just something about that glow that has me wrapped!

​

I enjoy helping everyone feel comfortable and relaxed during their session; I understand it can be a bit awkward right at first (I get it, I'm not a fan of having my picture taken). Capturing your true self and expressions is my goal. I love the emotion that is produced when couples are just "being," without "trying to be," and how children go about and do their funny/sassy/adorable stuff all on their own when I just let them be and do. These moments are just my fave! So, if you have a wild, spunky little one (or two or four), don't worry! They'll be fine and I'll be ready to catch them in all of their cuteness!

faq

WHERE WILL MY SESSION BE HELD?  I have a few spots that I like to use- fields, a nearby state park, and a local lake to name just a few, but I'm always scouting for beautiful, new locations! We can go to any of the above locations or to one of your favorite places. 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?  It all depends on the look you're going for and the location that we will shoot at. NEW: complimentary styling and client closet items available to wear! Try to keep it comfy as we will be moving around a good bit.  Check out my Pinterest board for ideas and shoot me a message, I'm here to help coordinate for the best outcome! 

DO YOU OFFER MINI SESSIONS?  It all depends on my schedule but I have usually held one or two mini events per year in the past. I'd much rather shoot sessions without props because they tend to be distracting in your images.
